Active Minds

Empowers students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking; increases awareness of issues surrounding mental health, symptoms related to mental health disorders, and provides mental health resources for university community members.

African American Learning, Inclusion, and Guidance Network

Encourages the study of African American culture and provides networking opportunities, resources, and support for university community members with an interest in African American Studies.

Alpha Lambda Delta

Encourages superior academic achievement among students in their first year, to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning and to assist in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.

Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society

A national criminal justice honor society for those studying criminal justice or a related field. Recognizes the academic excellence of bachelors and master's degree students of criminal justice programs.

American Advertising Federation

Promotes the field of advertising. Showcases member talents in advertising and new media; provides networking opportunities and valuable professional information, resources, and support for members in the field of advertising to develop and enhance their careers.

Ancient Order of the Craft

Serves as a facility for Regular Freemasons, who are students, alumni, staff, faculty members, employees and retirees of our university; where fraternity, moral behavior, and charitable work will be promoted.

Anthropology Club

Provides a forum for discussion of current trends and practices related to the study of humanities and social and natural sciences, while fostering community between anthropology students and professionals.

APICS

Fosters the advancement of end-to-end supply chain management through a body of knowledge, innovative research, systems, and methods to create value for customers, members, and organizations.

Association for Women in Science

The purpose of AWIS is to champion the interests of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across all disciplines and employment sectors. Working for positive system transformation, AWIS strives to ensure that all women in these fields can achieve their full potential.

Association of Information Technology Professionals

Promotes the information technology field and encourages, supports, and mentors university students as they study the field of information technology.

Association of Latino Professionals for America

Provides multicultural students with knowledge of growing trends in the global economy and provides opportunities to network with professionals and potential employers.

Broken Shield-Wounded Veterans Society

Supports veterans and civilians wounded in the field; and provides networking opportunities for wounded and disabled veterans as well as advocate for their cause.

Buddhism & Hinduism Club

The purpose of this organization is to create a safe and empowered community to explore, discuss, and participate in Hinduism, and Buddhism spirituality.

Campus Republicans

Promotes political studies and discussion through the encouragement of academic research and the development of political insight and debate; broadening of the republican party knowledge, pursuit of other activities in the interest of republicans; and service opportunities.

Conscious Capitalism Club

Provides a medium for members to develop leadership skills in business that use purpose and value as a catalyst rather than solely profit, to make a positive impact in the world.

Criminology Club

The purpose of this organization is to share and expand our knowledge of Criminology and the Criminal Justice system in order to prepare ourselves for careers in this field or just express our interests in it. This club will provide students with opportunities for academic and social interaction and access to criminology and criminal justice research and current organizations.

Delta Mu Delta

Honor society for high achieving business students. Officially chartered the chapter, Mu Zeta, in September 2011, making it the 294th chapter of Delta Mu Delta.

Democratic Society

Promotes political studies and discussions through the encouragement of academic research and the development of political insight and debate. Hopes to broaden the Democratic Party knowledge among membership.

Entrepreneurship Club

Promotes, supports, and inspires students to be entrepreneurial. Connect and network with other students and faculty with the same interest, providing valuable resources, conferences, and events.

Epsilon Pi Phi

Honor society for those studying emergency and disaster management and/or homeland security. Working for the reward, advancement, and recognition of emergency/continuity management and homeland security as a discipline and profession.

Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society

Encourages and recognizes academic achievements, promotes the values of professionals in technology, advances the understanding and awareness of technology and promotes the advancement of education in the field of information technology.

Eta Sigma Delta

Encourages and recognizes academic and professional achievements, stimulates the exchange of ideas between members, and promotes the advancement of education in the field of hospitality.

Fire Science Club

Provides an open forum where university members can discuss fire science, build a network of professionals, and promote academic and professional success.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Friends

Promotes awareness, education, and diversity among the university's community members. Helping members to meet the social, cultural, health, and political advocacy needs to become community models of the future.

Global Connections

The purpose of this organization is to unite individuals of all ethnic backgrounds, assist with 'English as a Second Language' needs, and provides academic, professional, and social resources

Golden Key

400+ chapters at colleges and universities in the United States, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa. Membership is invitation-only and extended to the top 15% of students in all fields-of-study.

Historical Studies Honor Society

Recognizes academic achievement among students and alumni in history programs, and promotes the study of history through extensive teaching, publication, and research.

Homeland Security Network

Provides field-specific networking, and academic and professional resources to support national safety and security.

Information Systems Audit and Control Association

Expands recognition of the information technology (IT) audit and assurance, security and IT governance disciplines by extending education beyond the classroom in the areas of standards, practices, and certification.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

Supports students, alumni, faculty, and staff with an interest in engineering, by providing a forum to educate members of emerging technologies and an environment for networking between engineering and IT professionals.

Intercollegiate Studies Institute

Fosters ideologically conservative and classically liberal intellect through mentoring, networking, exploring Great Books, and the interpretation of political events.

International Association of Emergency Managers

Largest student chapter directly affiliated with the International Association of Emergency Managers, striving to further the cause of emergency management in its community to increase awareness among its members.

International Diplomacy Club

Provides an open forum for discussion of international diplomacy and aims to unite students and alumni of all nationalities with an interest in international relations.

Kappa Delta Pi

Promotes, encourages, and recognizes scholarship and service amongst students and faculty members in all education disciplines.

Latter-Day Saints Fellowship Group

Provides a forum by which students and affiliates can discuss the Gospel and all aspects of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints, promote spiritual well-being and to foster and strengthen a balanced educational-spiritual life.

Military Intelligence Corps Association

Supports military intelligence professionals by providing a forum for university members to foster high military intelligence professional standards, share field-specific resources, and strengthen members’ commitment to the field.

Model UN Club

The purpose of Model UN is to allow the members opportunities to learn about the bodies, functions, and methods of the United Nations through first-hand experiences. We strive to teach members the means and methods of public speaking, group negotiation, and research, and to allow them to practice these skills in a competitive forum.

Mu Kappa Tau

Encourages and recognizes scholarship and accomplishments among students within the marketing program; stimulates interaction and the exchange of ideas; promotes advancement of education; fosters integrity; and brings together faculty and students on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.

National Association of Environmental Professionals

Provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the multidisciplinary, professional association of environmental stewardship. NAEP accomplishes their mission through dedication to ethical practices, technical competency, and professional standards.

National Society of Collegiate Scholars

A non-profit honors organization that recognizes and elevates high achievers. Members are deeply committed to service, integrity and scholarship and, as a result, are impacting their campus and local communities every day.

Newman Center

Provides a forum by which university members can grow in their Catholic faith, share resources that deepens the understanding of member appreciation for the history, theology and traditions of the Catholic Church and the Judeo-Christian heritage. The group will foster a spirit of evangelization and service, including the promotion of service opportunities to the school and community.

Nursing Honor Society

Recognize superior achievement, development of leadership qualities, encourage creative work, foster high professional standards, and strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the nursing profession.

Order of the Sword & Shield Honor Society

The academic and professional honor society for homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, and all protective security disciplines.

Paganism Club

Creates a safe and empowered community to explore, discuss, and participate in different forms of polytheistic and nature-rooted spirituality.

Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity

International professional law fraternity advancing integrity, compassion, and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community.

Pi Gamma Mu

Promotes, encourages, and rewards scholarship and service among students and faculty members in all of the social sciences.

Political Science Scholars

Encourages scholarly discussion and debates, academic research, and extracurricular activities related to political science; including many academic genres including international relations, constitutional law, public administration, campaigns, and other theoretical arguments.

Psychology Club

Encourages, stimulates, and maintains excellence in scholarship of its members, to build community, and to advance the science and overall knowledge of the psychology field.

Public Health Club

Educates members, builds a network of professionals and peers, and keeps members up-to-date on current issues, changes, and developments in the field of public health.

R.E.A.D. Book Club

Provides an open forum for discussion of literature, unites student and alumni through reading and fostering community through the discussion of various literary topics, and collaborates with the Room to Read national organization to sponsor service events for youth.

Ratio Christi

Provides historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ and supports students, alumni, faculty, and staff in their religious journey.

Saber and Scroll Historical Society

Promotes historical studies through the encouragement of academic research and the development of an online publication. The society also hopes to broaden the historical knowledge among its members.

Save the Earth

Spreads general awareness of environmental issues and develops service-oriented plans to get the university community more focused and involved with the environment.

Sigma Beta Delta

International honor society for students who excel within the management programs. The chapter was officially chartered with the university on August 29, 2012.

Sigma Iota Rho

Promotes and rewards scholarship and service among students and practitioners of international studies, international affairs (IR), and global studies; and fosters integrity and creative performance in the conduct of world affairs.

Sigma Tau Delta

Provides cultural stimulation on college campuses and promote interest in literature and the English language in surrounding communities; foster all aspects of the discipline of English, including literature, language, and writing; promote exemplary character and good fellowship among its members; exhibit high standards of academic excellence; and serve society by fostering literacy.

Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement

Honors students’ achievement and empowers them to be the leaders of tomorrow while aiming to maximize student potential through our powerful, customized skills development platform, vibrant mentor and peer community, and competency-based certification.

Society for Defense and Strategic Studies

Assists students and alumni in the expansion of research, knowledge, and professional development in the field of intelligence. Aims to build a network of professionals, and invites students and alumni with an interest in intelligence to get connected.

Society for Human Resource Management

Serves the needs of the human resource management professional by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available. Committed to advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals.

Society of Walmart Associates

Provide opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional resources to Walmart associates at the university and serve as an extension of the Walmart Lifelong Learning Program.

Sociology at Work

Provides a forum to explore academic interest in socially relevant matters, review social issues impacting society and provide resources in the professional field of Sociology.

Socratic Philosophical Honor Society

Recognizes academic achievement and provides networking opportunities for students and alumni in the university’s philosophy, religion or humanities programs, and promotes the study of philosophy and related disciplines through extensive teaching, publication, and research.

Sports and Wellness United

Provides the university community with programs that offer fun, healthy, and physical activities conducive to wellness and personal development. Promotes a healthy lifestyle, providing opportunities to enhance academic studies and professional interests.

Sports Management & Sports and Health Sciences Honor Society

Recognizes academic achievement among students and alumni in the sports management & sports and health science programs, promotes study through extensive teaching, publication, and research; to stimulate interaction and the exchange of ideas.

Student Veterans of America

Coalition of student veteran groups from college campuses across the United States. Works to develop new student groups, coordinate between existing student groups, and advocate on behalf of student veterans at the local, state, and national level.

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS)

Empowers members to make an impact in space exploration, and provides opportunities to interact, network, and learn from leaders in the space industry.

The Wildlife Society

Represents and serves the professional community of scientists, managers, educators, technicians, planners, and others who work actively to study, manage, and conserve wildlife and habitats worldwide.

West Virginia Students' Alliance

The purpose of this organization is to bring recognition to issues that face the state of West Virginia and present opportunities to assist, serve, and lead projects that aim to make a difference. This club will provide opportunities for West Virginians and allies to build productive and meaningful relationships around community and regional service.

Women in STEM

Provides an open forum for students and to promote the female presence in STEM fields, providing networking opportunities and valuable professional information, resources, and support for women in STEM fields to develop and enhance their careers.

Writing Club

Provides a forum where university members can review, discuss and submit creative work, raise awareness to literary art, enhance writing techniques and peer editing in order to promote academic and professional success.
