AMU's Preferred Military Rate is $250 per credit hour for all undergraduate and master's-level courses. This rate is available to all U.S. active-duty servicemembers, National Guard members, Reservists, and military families, including parents, spouses, legal partners, siblings, and dependents.

Technology fee for all undergraduate courses. There is a technology fee of $85 for all master's-level courses.
*Zero-out-of-pocket tuition may be possible when the undergraduate Preferred Military Rate is combined with other forms of financial assistance, such as military TA or federal Pell grants. The Preferred Military Rate supersedes all university grants and special promotions and cannot be combined with other special pricing. Please note that a technology fee applies to master’s-level courses.

Military Tuition Assistance (TA)

Coast Guard tuition assistance (TA) is offered to uniformed personnel who are on active duty (including Reservists on Active Duty Operational Support (ADOS) or Extended Active Duty (EAD) contracts. The Coast Guard is now offering 100% tuition assistance not to exceed $250 per credit hour and $4,500 per fiscal year.

Coast Guard students must submit an application through the Navy College Office's Virtual WebTA portal to use their military TA.

Transfer Credit

You may be eligible to apply your documented military training, prior education or non-academic experience to your degree program at AMU.* We have partnered with the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Law Enforcement  Academy for professional undergraduate military credit and the Coast Guard Institute for professional graduate military credit.
