Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity

The university’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity (PAD) is the first approved online affiliate. PAD is an international professional law fraternity, advancing integrity, compassion, and courage through service to the student, the university, the profession, and the community.

The chapter seeks to advance the ideals of liberty and equal justice under the law, to stimulate excellence in scholarship. PAD inspires the virtues of compassion and courage, fosters integrity and professional competence, and promotes the welfare of its members.

Chapter leaders encourage moral, intellectual, and cultural advancement in members.

Access to discussion opportunities amongst fellow members, test preparation resources, professional rewards and travel discounts.

Membership fee: 

$125 (Pre-law membership covers membership through graduation)

Process:

Visit the Phi Alpha Delta website, join as a student and pay your one-time membership fee. Select the Pre-Law radio button and then choose American Public University System as your chapter. Upload a copy of your paid receipt to the Office of Student Affairs to be added to the chapter's roster.

Phi Alpha Delta achieved PLATINUM standing, per the university's Chapter Standards program. Platinum standing demonstrates the highest level of chapter involvement and denotes excellence in chapter leadership and member engagement.
