This Digital Retail Cybersecurity course provides a broad overview of cybersecurity concepts and principles and explores real-world threats facing today’s retailers in a global economy. Students will assess various methods retailers can utilize to avoid security threats on outdated hardware or software. Students will investigate various data breaches throughout the past decade, analyze ransom and malware attacks, and discuss how retailers and consumers are both a part of preventing financial data breaches. In addition, this course includes a discussion on the inherent risks of digital supply chains, third party vendors, and explores the ever-increasing mobile security issues facing retailers.
