This course examines contemporary and emerging issues of international business law, ethics, and cultural intelligence for the business leader. Through a case study approach, students delve into legal, ethical, and multi-national topics affecting global business decision making, such as cross-border transactions, international trade law, contracts, antitrust, artificial intelligence, human rights, intellectual property, cybersecurity, human resources, dispute resolution, labor, terrorism, and sustainability. Ethical considerations, such as bribery prevention and corporate responsibility, are integrated with strategies for fostering ethical leadership. Cultural competence is emphasized, with insights into negotiation dynamics and team building across multi-cultural contexts. Through case studies and practical exercises, students gain skills to lead knowledgeably, with integrity, in the global marketplace. (Prerequisite: BUSN623)
