Learn About Tyler

BS in Information Technology Management | School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

Master of Business Administration (MBA) | Dr. Wallace E. Boston School of Business

Having served in the Air Force, when the time came for Tyler to prepare to transition to civilian life, his love for technology inspired him to earn his bachelor’s degree. While balancing family responsibilities with military service, Tyler studied at AMU—even attending online classes while he was deployed.

Today, Tyler has a career as a software developer and integrator. He credits AMU’s flexibility for his academic successes and is proud to set an example for his children.

How He Did it

Getting Started

Tyler enrolled at AMU after hearing about online degree programs from an Air National Guard recruiter.

Flexibility

Despite his busy schedule, Tyler was able to graduate by attending classes online and completing assignments in his remaining free time.

Affordability

Combining the undergraduate book grant with his GI Bill®1 allowed Tyler to save on tuition as he completed his studies.

They’ve given me the flexibility to get my degree, whether I was in Montana, whether I was deployed, whether I was here—I got the same degree as I would’ve gotten if I was going to the school [in person].
