Learn About Nikki and Bobby

Nikki: BS and MS in Sports and Health Sciences | School of Health Sciences

Bobby: MA in Intelligence Studies | School of Security & Global Studies

For Bobby and Nikki Allmann, service has always been a way of life. Bobby built a career in law enforcement, while Nikki served in the military. Their paths eventually brought them to the same place—personally, professionally, and even academically. When they started dating, Nikki was taking classes at American Military University and discovered that was something she and Bobby had in common.

That shared experience became especially meaningful as Nikki continued working toward her degree. Bobby understood firsthand what it took to balance school with work and family, and he knew when to step in and when to give her the space she needed to study. Whether that meant keeping the house quiet, helping with a lab, or taking something off Nikki's plate, earning her degree became something they approached together.

Today, Bobby and Nikki have carried that same sense of teamwork and service into a new chapter as owners of a CrossFit gym. There, they've created a community centered on helping others become stronger and work through challenges of their own. Their careers may have changed, but the values behind them haven't: put in the work, support the people around you, and keep moving toward what's next.

How They Did it

Turning Service Into a New Mission

Bobby and Nikki spent years in careers centered on service, responsibility, and leadership. When those chapters came to an end, they carried those qualities forward, finding a new mission in helping others challenge themselves and become stronger through fitness.

Navigating the Transition Together

Moving into the next phase of life wasn’t simply a career change. After 22 years of military service, Nikki has spoken about how difficult the transition was mentally. As Bobby and Nikki considered what came next, they leaned on their experiences, their education, and each other while building a new life beyond their previous careers.

Building Strength Through Community

Their CrossFit gym gave Bobby and Nikki an opportunity to turn a shared passion into something larger. As owners and coaches, they’ve created a community centered on discipline, perseverance, and supporting others as they work toward their own goals—values that have remained constant even as the Allmanns’ careers have changed.
"Not only from a school standpoint, but also in life, we complement each other very well. Our strengths are not the same strengths. Our weaknesses are not the same weaknesses, and we balance each other out that way."
