The purpose of this organization is to connect Sociology majors and those interested in the field of Sociology with resources and opportunities to align with academic and industry career options, provide scholarly and professional networking and development opportunities, and other endeavors to connect APUS sociology majors with the larger social environment.
Promote high standards among sociology students, to encourage professional growth and development, and to provide opportunities for members to associate with community members engaged in sociology and its related fields.

Sociology at Work achieved ACTIVE standing per the university's Chapter Standards program. Active standing demonstrates a notable level of chapter involvement and denotes excellence in chapter leadership and member engagement.
Campus leadership opportunities are a great way to meet other students, alumni, and faculty at the university while also developing skills in the areas of:

Membership is available year-round to students and alumni in good academic standing in all degree fields at the university. Membership will be actively sought during the months of April and October.
