Depending on the type of education degree program, graduates may pursue work in the areas of administration and supervision, guidance and counseling, as well as instructional design and delivery. Education degrees that have been completed with the appropriate student teaching hours and other state certification requirements may also lead to teaching positions in both elementary and secondary educational settings. Teachers that have already completed their student teaching and certification requirements at the undergraduate level may choose to complete advanced degrees in education to advance their careers.
