Learn About Jason

BA in Fire Science Management | MA in Emergency and Disaster Management | School of Security and Global Studies

When an unexpected family tragedy cut Jason’s Air Force career short, he knew advancing his education could help smooth the transition to civilian life. A fellow Air Force servicemember introduced Jason to AMU. Here, his drive to help serve others would guide his studies as he earned his baccalaureate and master’s degrees.

Today, Jason applies the knowledge and skills he gained through AMU serving his community as the facilities and safety manager at a North Texas hospital.

How He Did it

Getting Started

A friend from the Air Force recommended AMU, and Jason recognized the value of learning from faculty with frontline knowledge and experience.

Flexibility

Being able to take classes online allowed Jason to maintain balance between school and family commitments.

Affordability

As an Air Force Veteran, Jason was able to apply his GI Bill®1 towards his education.

One thing that really stood out to me with the professors at AMU was that they were active in the career field and they’re able to bring that frontline knowledge to the classroom.
