On June 17, 2016, our Golden Key International Honour Society, Student Veterans of America, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Information Systems Audit and Control Association co-sponsored the Class of 2016 Stop Hunger Now service event at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Over 300 members, officers, guests, and university staff and faculty came together for a great event.
An amazing 50,000 meals were packaged in just under 2 hours. Our largest amount yet! Stop Hunger Now is driven by the vision of a world without hunger. Their mission is to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.
We are delighted to announce that we will be partnering with Stop Hunger Now’s new brand, Rise Against Hunger, during this year’s Commencement activities in May to package 50,000 meals. All graduates, guests over the age of ten, faculty, and staff are encouraged to help make a difference.
