Mu Kappa Tau Honor Society

Mu Kappa Tau (MKT) Marketing Honor Society encourages and recognizes scholarship and accomplishments among students within the marketing program; stimulates interaction and the exchange of ideas between members; promotes the advancement of education in marketing; fosters integrity in the conduct of a marketing career; and brings together faculty and students in the marketing program on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness. Our chapter was officially chartered in January 2014.

Benefits include:

 Access to the Mu Kappa Tau job board, professional programming, networking, social events, newsletters and scholarships.

Lifetime membership fee:

$80 (grants a membership certificate, gold pin, and window decal).

Mu Kappa Tau achieved BRONZE standing, per the university's Chapter Standards Program. Bronze standing demonstrates a notable level of chapter involvement and denotes excellence in chapter leadership and member engagement.

Campus leadership opportunities are a great way to meet other students, alumni, and faculty at the university while also developing skills in the areas of:

  • Self-management
  • Administrative and project management
  • Organizational knowledge and strategy
  • Critical thinking and reflection
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork

The Office of Student and Alumni Affairs is always looking for people to get involved and be campus leaders, including chapter officers, who lead student organizations like this one. Eligible students meeting the criteria below will receive an invitation during the months of April and October. If you believe you are eligible and do not receive an invitation, email [email protected].

Criteria:

  • Active bachelor's or master's student in marketing or business administration (marketing concentration)
  • Completed at least one of our courses in the past 12 months
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above
  • Completed a minimum of six semester hours in your current program
  • Obtained an academic level of junior (if earning a bachelor's)
  • Has complied with university policies on academic integrity
