The course examines the life and experience of Muhammad, the Spokesman of Allah, the Prophet of Allah, the Messenger of Allah, and Prophet of Islam. Course content includes the context of his role in a world religion and world politics and addresses the way Muhammad served as the ideal model for Muslim life, particularly in terms of being the Final Messenger, the Last Prophet.

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
1. Discuss the character of the Prophet, using current events, misperceptions and crises as a springboard to discovery.
2. Discuss the various myths surrounding Muhammad and Islam and situate them in the mainstream of World Religions.
3. Describe the character of the Prophet.
4. Evaluate the causes and effects of Islam as initiated by the Prophet.
5. Evaluate Western personal prejudices and draw some conclusions, both personal and global.
6. Describe the human values promoted by the prophet and Islam.
