AMU, UNITAR Cooperative Degree Agreement

American Military University (AMU), in cooperation with UNITAR-Peace Operations Training Institute, has evaluated the curriculum for UNITAR's Peacekeeping Training Program and will award graduates credit hours to be applied toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a concentration in Peacekeeping from AMU.

Agreement Overview

  • Students who successfully complete UNITAR's Correspondence Instruction in Peacekeeping Operation program will be awarded 24 hours of transfer credit to be applied to an AMU bachelor's degree in International Relations (Concentration in Peacekeeping) as indicated.
  • If students do not complete the entire UNITAR POCI program, but successfully complete individual courses, credit will be granted and applied toward elective credit in any AMU undergraduate program, as indicated.
  • In some cases UNITAR POCI courses can be combined to award credit toward specific core and major requirements for AMU's B.A. in International Relations.
