Military TA

• The DOD covers $4,500 a year for full time students. More Details
• Your Education Services Officer (ESO) will advise you on your eligibility
• You must submit a request for assistance each course session
• All branches require registration for classes PRIOR to tuition assistance approval
• Some branches have slight differences in their process for requesting TA. Click on your branch to the left to ensure you understand any differences that exist
• Military TA does NOT cover one time fees listed on the Tuition and Fees page.

Process at a Glance

1. Apply and get accepted to our university
2. Complete the online orientation and print the Certificate of Completion
3. Register and specify “Military TA” as your payment method. Undergraduate students will not be asked to pay at that time. Graduate students will be asked to pay the remaining tuition balance at the time of registration
4. Meet with your ESO for a briefing on tuition assistance
5. Submit required forms through your ESO

   • National Guard: Select Army DA 2171
   • Marines: NAVMC 10883
   • Coast Guard CGI 1560
   • Reserves Select the form for your branch of service

Timeframe

• Start this process at least 3-4 weeks prior to class start date
• Timeframe for funding varies based on branch policies
• Register at anytime. Be aware that your Tuition Assistance must be in place at least 1 week prior to the start of your first class. “In place” means that your forms are complete, have been processed and the disbursement of funds has been approved
