  • The Air Force Reserve pays for tuition only after the course has been completed and the student receives a passing grade. The student is responsible for paying the tuition at the time of registration
  • Air Force Reserve students that are eligible for TA benefits can authorize a delayed personal credit card authorization in lieu of up-front tuition payment
  • TA reimbursement from AFRES take at least eight weeks

    • We will not charge your credit card until after eight weeks has passed
    • If a student withdraws from a course, your credit card will be charged immediately for the prorated tuition
  • To change payment method, update credit card information, or change the credit card on file, students should contact Student Accounts at stuaccounts@apus.edu
  • Note: If the credit card on file for deferred payment is declined, the student will be prohibited from using the deferred payment option for future courses
  • Process for obtaining the Deferred Payment Option:

    • Complete the first 3 steps of the process outlined earlier (print that page for reference):

      1. Apply and get accepted to our university
      2. Complete orientation
      3. Register for classes

        • Instead of choosing 100% Military Tuition Assistance as your payment method, you must choose "Employer Voucher" under the Payment Options
        • You will need to send an approved TA Form to us   
                
      4. Complete and fax your Authority for TA and your Credit Card Authorization form to Student Accounts at 304-724-3794 prior to the start date for each course in order to be granted access to the classroom

      5. Once we receive and validate all required documents, your "Voucher" hold will be lifted

        • You will receive an e-mail notifying you that we received your Voucher
        • You will then have access to your classroom when class starts
