The School of Business at American Military University (AMU) offers a flexible, dynamic and interactive program to accommodate many types of learners. Faculty Spotlight
L.A. Chad Patrizi
Dean
M.P.A.: Virginia Polytechnic Institute
L.A. Chad Patrizi is the Business Administration Department Chair for the American Public University System. Chad holds a Master of Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College). Chad is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in E-learning at Touro University International. Chad comes to the University from the National Academy of Public Administration, where his experience encompassed a wide variety of public management research and public policy analysis, to include analytical and publication contributions to publicly sponsored domestic and international studies. Chad’s success is based on his knowledge of public administration, his ability to complete large projects, his ability to communicate with diverse individuals, his leadership and his flexibility. On the national level, he served as a research analyst focused on congressionally mandated studies including The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the National Park Service Construction Program. In international affairs, Chad’s work included the USIA sponsored Public Administration Program in Central and Eastern Europe. The USIA program in the Republic of Georgia established the Institute of Public Administration and educates Georgian civil servants in public administration and management. Chad provided managerial oversight of the masters level program; coordinated the annual Academic schedule; and, served as a liaison between Ministers of Education, University Officials and the Academy. Prior to his public service experience, as a 10-year manager in private industry, Chad supervised, managed, and developed corporate human resources and training programs.
