AMU is the Right Choice for Canadian Students
"When I joined the Metropolitan Toronto Police in 1971, there were about 100 senior officers in the ranks of inspector to chief. Only one had a post-secondary education, and she was a former high school teacher.
Forty years later, the standards for command positions within Canadian policing have reached the point where a post-secondary education is a basic requirement for chiefs of police and other leaders.
In 1992, I was privileged to attend the 169th Session of the FBI National Academy. In the years that followed, my active membership in the FBI National Academy Associates led me to discover American Military University, an academic partner with FBINAA.
My new career as a public education coordinator for American Military University has kept me involved with police officers and other public safety professionals across Canada. I've learned that AMU is an excellent choice for Canadians. Let me tell you why."

Testimonials
"I have a place in my heart for AMU."

Millbrook, Ontario
M.A., Global History
"The primary reason why I chose AMU was because all the courses could be done online and [the Canadian university I was considering] only had limited online offerings [in my program of interest] at that time. My family and I went to Washington for the commencement and had a fabulous time. AMU is awesome!"

M.A., Strategic Intelligence
"AMU was recommended to me by a colleague in another province who was taking courses through AMU at the time. I was looking for an online university that offered a master's program in Intelligence and the two I came up with were AMU and a state university. I chose AMU as classes cost half as much as at the other university."
