Kristen Ritter, Graduate
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration
Kristen Ritter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University and still serves as a mentor for current students and alumni. Like many of our students, she was preparing for her husband, a LCDR in the Navy, to be deployed to the Middle East. While the military was unable to allow her to move with him into a war zone, she got a job leading the local office of a global public relations company, her own visa, and moved to Bahrain so she could be closer to her husband. She also decided to pursue her bachelor’s degree in order to advance her career to pursue senior management opportunities on a global level.
While researching education options on base and through the U.S. Embassy, someone referred her to the University. She wanted an accredited, affordable, flexible school that offered her major and the University met those criteria. Her books were even shipped to her husband’s base. After returning to the U.S. and completing her degree, Ritter continued on to receive a Master’s degree in Management from the College of St. Elizabeth and currently works as the Director for Organizational Communications for a New York City communications company.
