Biography - Sara Spivey


Sara Spivey earned her baccalaureate degree in Sociology from the University of Central Oklahoma and graduate degree in Criminal Justice from American Military University. Spivey has worked in Federal law enforcement for the past nine years. As a United States Probation Officer she manages an intensive high risk caseload and serves as the Reentry Specialist. Previously, Spivey worked in corrections as a Drug Treatment Specialist, Senior Officer, and Regional Assistant Team Leader for Crisis Support with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She has attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC, and Glynco, GA. Spivey has taught courses in Criminal Justice and Communications for the past five years in the distance learning environment. She currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the Association of Reentry Professionals and served one year as Vice President of the American Public University System Alumni Association.

Sara resides in Oklahoma City with her husband and their three children.
