
Dr. Vinnie Giordano Ph.D, CAP, CCJAP- Obtained a bachelors of Arts degree from Long Island University/ C.W. Post in Liberal Arts with a specialization in political science. Dr. Giordano’s course work was focused toward pre-law and international relations, at which time Dr. Giordano completed Long Island Universities paralegal studies program.
After obtaining his BA from Long Island University, Dr. Giordano obtained his Masters of Science degree from Florida Metropolitan University in Criminal Justice. Dr. Giordano completed his master’s thesis on outlaw motorcycle gangs and their organizational structure. Dr. Giordano obtained his Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialization in Criminal Justice from Capella University.
Dr. Giordano has worked in the field of substance abuse/ behavioral health for 11 years, 7 of which were with Operation PAR Inc. His experience includes working as a substance abuse counselor in a Department of Corrections funded youthful offender program, a counselor and supervisor for a 28-day residential and aftercare program, and as a clinical supervisor with the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center where he is still currently employed.
Dr. Giordano is also duly certified by the State of Florida as a Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional (CCJAP), and a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP). Both of these certifications enable Dr. Giordano to work closely with criminal offenders and their addiction issues.
