Robert S Thrower

Professor Robert Shaine Thrower is an active duty Air Force Officer. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a BS in Aviation Science (1999) and American Military University (2004) with an MS in Space Studies. He started his Air Force career as a Communications Technician at the 965th Airborne Air Control Squadron, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. Performing duties aboard the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), he flew many missions in support of Operation Southern Watch. He subsequently trained and tested the next generation of airborne communications specialists as an instructor and evaluator. After receiving a commission from Officer Training School, Professor Thrower attended missile training and transferred to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he served as an Emergency War Order Instructor, Missile Combat Crew Commander Instructor, and evaluator at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. He then moved to Vandenberg AFB, California where he performed flight and software testing for the Minuteman III.
