
Marine Sergeant John “Jack” Eckhardt received both his Bachelor of Science in Education (1992) and Master of Science in Education (2003) degrees in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland. He holds a New York State Permanent Teaching Certification in Physical Education and is a nationally Certified Adapted Physical Educator ( CAPE). Currently he is the Head Swim Coach and Aquatics Coordinator at Wells College in Aurora, New York.
His professional Organizations/Memberships include: American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), American Association for Active Lifestyles and Fitness (AAALF), American Swim Coaches Association ( ASCA), National Consortium for Physical Education and Recreation for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPERID), New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (NYSAHPERD), and USA Swimming.
Jack is the founder and Head Coach of the Cortland Adapted Swim Team ( CAST), a USA Swimming registered swim team specifically started and designed for individuals with disabilities.
