John  Clark

Professor J. Blair Clark, Jr. has served the past 15 years as an ordained minister of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and has extensive professional experience in education and managing congregations from 150 – 3,000+ members. As an Associate Pastor of Christian Education, Family Life, and Youth, he counseled a 300-student parochial school and administrative staff with positive solutions to parent, student, and staff issues that strengthened the daily operation of the school. Management experiences included the resolution of personnel issues, family counseling, and the facilitation of leadership training among staff members. He has developed, reviewed, and implemented school policies, curricula, and standards. He regularly prepares and delivers public speeches in a variety of formats before audiences of up to 1,000+ people.

Professor Clark was appointed as a team member of the National Lutheran School Association (N.L.S.A.) that reviewed operational procedures in accrediting a Lutheran elementary school in Wisconsin. He worked within his own school by assisting in the process for the successful renewal of their accreditation. He served as a Committee Chair that assisted with the successful organization of the 1994 International Lutheran Laymen’s League International Convention in Ft. Worth, Texas. In 1995, he was elected as Pastoral Delegate to the
Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod’s National Convention.

Professor Clark received a Junior College Diploma from St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, KS. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Sociology and Biblical Languages from Concordia Lutheran College in Ann Arbor, MI. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO.

Professor Clark, born in Ft. Worth, TX, currently resides in Troy, MI, with his wife Kimberley and three children ages 15, 12, and 4.
