
Professor Patrick G. Fruge earned a Master of Arts degree in Homeland Security with a concentration in Terrorism Studies from the American Military University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tuskegee University.
Currently, Professor Fruge is employed with Prince William County Police Department in Virginia. In addition, he is an Air Force Reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) with the Operations and Nuclear Support Assessments Division, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). At DTRA, he is a Security Operations Subject Matter Expert within the Joint Staff Integrated Vulnerability Assessment (JSIVA) program.
Professor Fruge served for over six years as an active duty Air Force Security Forces Officer. Upon his commission in May 2005, he was assigned as the Installation Antiterrorism Officer at Vance AFB, OK. In January 2007, he deployed to Forward Operating Base, Camp Bucca, Iraq and served as a Compound Commander in Iraq’s largest U.S. led detention facility. After a 10 month tour supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, Professor Fruge received orders for a one year remote tour in the Republic of Korea. In Korea, he was a Flight Commander and the Section Commander for the 8th Security Forces Squadron at Kunsan Air Base. After his short tour overseas, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, MD and assigned to the Presidential Support Program. In the summer of 2010, Professor Fruge deployed to the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, as the Wing Antiterrorism Officer. He concluded his active duty Air Force career on 1 November 2011 as the Security Forces Operations Officer in charge of Executive Security, Law Enforcement, Investigations, Military Working Dogs, and the Civilian Police program at Joint Base Andrews, MD.
