My name is David C. Turner and I have been in the field of education for over 8 years. I have spent all 8 of my years in education as a Language Arts teacher with Aldine Independent School District, and I have been in higher education for 3 years as an adjunct.
I received my bachelor's degree in Communications and English from Lambuth University in Jackson, TN and I also played football for the Lambuth Eagles. I received my master's degree from Grand Canyon University in Teaching with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership, and I am currently working on my EdD in Organizational Leadership online with Grand Canyon as well.
I love integrating new technologies into learning as well as helping students to reach their academic and professional goals. My teaching style is very much hands on, even in the virtual environment. I enjoy interacting with my students and helping them in any way possible, yet challenging them to achieve their very best as well. I also pride myself in being able to help students to make connections from what they are learning to their professional and personal environments.
On a personal note, I am the youngest of 7 children and I currently have three children of my own, Peyton-Neil (6), Phoenix Nicole (14months) and Joshua David (2). My wife's name is Carman and we have been married for one year. I enjoy sports, gaming, spending time with my family, working out, social networking, writing, listening to music, traveling, and relaxing.
I look forward to embarking on this educational journey with you all!
