Developed the Sport Management Studies to be one of four NASPE/NASSM Nationally Certified Programs.
Classes Taught: Sports Marketing and Financing, History and Foundation of Recreational, Sports and Physical Education, Sport Event and Facility Management, Organization and Administration of Sports and Recreation. Coaching of Women in Sports, Safety Education, Driver Education, Soccer, Volleyball, Physical Fitness in Business.

National Instructor for the American Sports Education Program (ASEP):
Coaching Principle course (philosophy, psychology, pedagogy, physiology & management) and Sports First Aid. These courses are a joint effort of the National Federation of State High School Associations and Human Kinetics Publishers. (Over 900 coaches certified to date.)

1995 - 1998: Deputy Finance Director for U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command. $210M annual budget. Contracting, Procurement, Budgeting Section for Eastern U.S.A. Advisor Special Services / Recreation Div.

1994 - 1995: Fund Raising Director, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation
Formulating a winning strategy to meet customer needs. Worked with 250 public and private organizations.

1994 - 1995: President, Partners for a Better Environment: Served as a consultant to area Haz Mat Team, fire departments, and wrecker service on oil spill clean up after accidents using oil clean up materials. Public Relations, Prevention Training, Safety Workshops.

1980 - 1994: Directed the Internship program for the sports management studies. Coordinated and supervised student placement with professional and amateur sports business in the public and private sector.

1980 - 1994: Director of Recreational / Intramural Sports at Liberty Univ. Conducted sports activities for a student body of over 5,000, of which 4,000 students were active participants per school year. Supervised and directed a fifteen member staff. I am a certified Recreation Sports Specialist.

1978 - 1980: Director and Founder of the Morris (IL) Area Leisure Services. Conducted community recreational activities that were similar to that of a YMCA/YWCA or a park and recreational district. Supervised activities for a community of 10,000 population. The professional staff consisted of 40 full time workers.

1976 - 1978: Director of Health, Physical Education & Recreation at the Kenosha (WI) Youth Foundation. The KYF conducted adult physical fitness classes for major corporations in the Kenosha area and conducted adult physical fitness research. Supervised a 28 member staff. Directed the community outreach recreation program to Inner City youth.

All positions had major responsibilities in the following areas: accounting. budgeting, financial exigencies, planning (long and short term), research, public

relations, marketing and promoting, fund-raising, facilities planning, curriculum development and staffing.

• 1992 - Lead person for NIRSA Winter Journal Project: The topic was the History of NIRSA

OTHER INFORMATION:

Commissioner of the Mason-Dixon Track and Field Conference: this conference is made up of 15 colleges and universities. NCAA level is Division I- AA, II and III and conducts three major conference championships - cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

Presently doing physical fitness performance research for NISOA and USSF for professional and college level soccer referees.
