Dr. Kevin B. Driscoll is the Assistant Director, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Military Personnel. In this role, he leads a team that provides personnel support for over 2200 military members assigned to OSD, its components and support organizations including the White House Military Office, Washington Headquarters Services, DINFOS, DARPS, TMA, MDA, DSCA, OMC, and the US Mission to NATO. He formulates and provides policy guidance to the Department of Defense senior leaders, the Services and components regarding Joint award policies and personnel programs. He routinely works with the Joint Staff, Defense and other governmental agencies, Combatant Commands and the Services. He received his commission through a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship at Norwich University--The Military College of Vermont, in 1984 and retired as a Colonel in 2010. He was initially assigned as a Missile Combat Crew Member (ICBM-Minuteman II) at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Dr. Driscoll has served in a variety of positions in nuclear operations, command and control, personnel, manpower, education and training, squadron command, academia, Air Staff, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Joint Staff and Office of the Secretary of Defense. Dr. Driscoll is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and is married and has three children.
