Biography - Elisabeth K Murfield


Elisabeth holds a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University. Elisabeth received her M.Ed. in Family Education from the University of Minnesota. She received her B.S. in Family Social Science, with a minor in Youth Studies, also from the University of Minnesota.

In addition to the courses she teaches with APUS, Elisabeth is currently a Family and Consumer Science teacher at a large, suburban high school. During her career as a teacher, Elisabeth has served as her department's chair as well as on her building's and district's Teaching and Learning Committee/Council. Elisabeth's professional interests include teacher education, professional development, professional learning communities, differentiation, and assessment.

Elisabeth's personal interests include spending time with family and friends, running, reading, and cooking.
