Mr. Jason Cantone currently serves as a Nuclear Weapons Analyst and Congressional Analyst for United States Strategic Command. His focus is on the nuclear strategic deterrent and its role in national security issues.
Before joining U.S. Strategic Command as an Air Force Civilian, Mr. Cantone completed his law degree and master's degree, with a focus on legal decision making, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also received his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He expects to receive his Ph.D. in 2011.
Mr. Cantone's research interests include how to predict behavior, using empirical research methods to explain complex problems, and integrating legal and social science methods to better inform public policy.
He is excited to be an instructor in American Military University's National Security Studies program and brings with him the experience of teaching more than 500 students online and 100 students in-person.
He enjoys music, movies (and served as a film critic for four years), and sports, especially teams from Chicago, his home town.
