Biography - Kenneth J Morilak


Professor Morilak completed his BS in Political Science and Criminal Justice at the University of Akron. He then went on to complete both his Masters in Public Administration and Juris Doctorate at the University of Baltimore. He has also completed graduate work in the Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the Defense Intelligence College and Information Assurance at the National Defense University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence Officer Advanced Course and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Professor Morilak currently at Full Time member of the APUS faculty and he also serves on the George Mason University Human Subjects Review Board.

Previously Professor Morilak was a Program Manager for several Defense Contractors including being the Theater Manager for the DCGS-A program in Iraq during 2008.

Professor Morilak has 26 years of military service with the U.S. Army both on active duty and in the reserves enlisting as a Private and culminating as a Lieutenant Colonel. His duty initial branch was Military Police with assignments ranging from the Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Central Command Counter Terrorism Section, 11th Special Forces Group Support Company, HHD Command in an EPW Battalion, Cadre Training Officer in a One Station Unit Training Brigade, and Command of a Military Police Company. His assignments within the Intelligence Community include U.S. Central Command J-2, Headquarter Department of the Army G-2, and the Joint Staff J-2. His last assignment before retiring was Command of Strategic Intelligence Group Detachment supporting the National Media Exploitation Center and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Professor Morilak resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and three daughters. His hobbies include motorcycles, do-it-yourself home improvement projects, and music.
