Dr. Miller has been teaching International Relations and Comparative Politics for 8 years, specializing in the politics of Latin America. He received his PhD from Purdue University in 2004.
His primary teaching interests include economic development and international relations theory. He has published books on the settlement of the civil war in El Salvador (Mellen 2006)and the role of ecotourism in the development of Costa Rica (Lexington 2011).
He has travelled extensively throughout Central America in support of his research and has twice been awarded Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships through the Federal Department of Education. (2008 and 2011)
A native of Illinois, Dr. Miller now lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with his wife Christy and enjoys sports and travelling.
