Mike Ammons has a diverse work history and has previously worked as a machinist, welder, industrial mechanic, case worker for Medicaid, Morse Systems Operator for the United States Air Force, lawn-mower assembler, paper recycler, church furniture manufacturer, and blueberry picker. He has taught seated and online courses in business, management, leadership, advising, and ethics at the college and university level. Mike is an adjunct instructor of management at APUS in which he teaches courses in management, leadership, and ethics. He is also the Director of Evening College Admissions at an institution that offers undergraduate degree programs for working adults.
Mike has earned an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Machining Technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Mount Olive College, a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University, a Post-Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, and is currently in the dissertation stage of the Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership program at Liberty University. The topic of his dissertation is, “Leadership Practices of Nontraditional Students Enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program: A Correlational Study”.
