Biography - Orlando Rivero


Dr. Orlando Rivero is an accomplished faculty member who has taught for several universities throughout the country. Dr. Rivero has played a significant role in academia having served as a committee member for several national universities where he assists in the implementation of courses in public administration, and management programs. He has also participated as a member on several dissertation committees.

Dr. Rivero had served in various leadership roles in over 20 years with local government. His experience includes, but is not limited to, Administrator of Operations, Miami-Dade County Government, Police Department Animal Services Unit; Budget Analyst, Miami-Dade County Government, Corrections and Rehabilitation Department; and Affirmative Action Administrator, Miami-Dade County Government, Department of Business Development. He is also the recipient of the 2004 National Association of Counties, (NACO) Achievement Award for the implementation of several community driven programs in Miami-Dade County,Florida.

Dr. Rivero is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) and earned his Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in Management from Argosy University.
