David is a PhD student at Northcentral University, in Business (Project Management) and holds a Master of Business Administration, International Business (MBA) from Liberty University, with election to Sigma Beta Delta Honor society, as well as Certificates in Supply Chain Management (Collaboration, Optimization & Leadership) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He also earned a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma (US Army) and an Electrical Occupations Certificate from Bay Arenac Skill Center. David's undergraduate work is Sociology/Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University. He is currently pursuing his PMP, SPHR, CPSM & CPM certifications.
David is retired from the military with 28 years of active military service in the United States Marine Corps and US Army. His most recent position was as the Branch Chief at US Transportation Command where he completed his most recent Lean Six Sigma project, which, resulted in a cost savings of $5 million in transportation and resource costs. Recent positions include automotive repair business owner, private educator, developer, mobility transportation chief, executive officer, three company commands, supply and service officer, support operations officer, material officer and operations & intelligence officer.
Mr. Patton established himself in 1981 as a Marine serving in the Infantry, Aviation, and Military Police. In 1986, he transferred to the US Army serving as a Solider in the Armor and Ordnance Corps for 8 years before accepting a Green-to-Gold Scholarship and becoming a “Mustang Officer”. Upon graduation from Central Michigan University, he was designated as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Army ROTC program; and served as the President of the Honor Society.
Prior to the military David enjoyed football, boxing and working in his father’s automotive repair shop and father-in-law’s Dairy Farm. He currently resides near ST Louis, Mo, and is a native of Bay City, MI. He and his wife, the former Sue Ellen Wardin of Hemlock, Michigan have two sons, William and Zachary, daughter-in-law, Jade Patton and granddaughter, Chloe. David has also served as youth director, elder, and assistant Pastor throughout his career.
