Dr. Mittie Smith retired from the United States Army after proudly serving for over 28 years throughout the United States, Europe, and the Republic of Korea. Dr. Smith served in a variety of challenging leadership positions during her distinguished military career. While serving her country, she earned educational degrees and certificates that have made a significant impact on her decisions as a leader. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from the University of Maryland, Master’s degree in Computer Resources Management from Webster University, and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. She has over 25 years of progressively higher levels of responsibility, training, and experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, Human Resources Management, mentorship, teambuilding, and decision making.
Dr. Smith has been a motivational leader, teacher, and public speaker for over twenty years, speaking with diverse audiences at events such as formal civic events, graduation ceremonies, conferences, church, high school, college and university functions, and senior executive training forums. Dr. Smith is a lifelong learner who is committed to making a difference and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and real world experiences with adult learners. She has a strong passion for mentoring, teaching, and coaching others to achieve their goals. She enjoys reading, learning, family events, and exercising.
