
Elvis’s educational background includes a Masters in Business Administration from William Carey College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Faulkner University. Currently he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Capital Development (Jack and Patti Phillips sponsored), from The University of Southern Mississippi. With his education, he hopes to expand his career choices and to ultimately do something meaningful for someone else. Elvis believes that developing training programs is one way a person can see the accomplishments he/she is working towards from start to finish, with the reward at the end. Maybe he will be able to change or enhance a process to make it better for the person learning a specific skill or job. Upon completion of his PhD, he would like to work in corporate America for a while to gain vital experience in the area of Human Capital Development.
Elvis Tull serves as an Aviation Superintendent for the United States Air Force at Charleston AFB, SC. His primary responsibilities include supervising eight sections consisting of 32 personnel; his team ensures all flight support functions are completed before the flight of any assigned aircraft, including 57 C-017A. In addition to his primary duties, Elvis also manages a 1.5 million dollar yearly budget, safety program, various human resource functions.
Elvis has called active duty Air Force home for 10 years before becoming an aviation superintendent. During those 10 years, he has worked as an aviation helper, aviation journeyman, and as an aviation craftsman. He states he joined the Air Force when he was 19 to get away from home. While in the Air Force, Elvis was able to travel, live and work in three different countries. These countries included Japan (two years), the Philippines (four years) and Hong Kong (18 months) and then an assignment back to the United States, New Mexico to be exact. By the way, did I tell you that he was from Virginia! He enjoyed being able to go home a lot more after becoming a world traveler at such a young age. Elvis has even fought for our country with other Americans Heroes, in Desert Strom, Desert Shield, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Currently, he is an active member of the Air Force Reserve and proudly holds the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8).
Hobbies: Playing with my dogs, garding, fishing and the excitement of watching horse racing.
