Krystle McClain holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Masters of Engineering: Environmental specification from the University of Maryland College Park.
Currently she is employed by the Headquarters Air Force as an Action Officer/Program Manager for the Environmental Quality Branch. She provides program management for Overseas Environmental Program, Solid Waste, Qualified Recycling Program, Cultural and Natural Resources, and Pollution Prevention.
Prior to working with the Air Force, Krystle was employed by Department of the Army as an Environmental Engineer. Her duties included serving as the Environmental Coordinator overseeing a full range of environmental compliance responsibilities associated with a multitude of Federal, state, and local laws, permits and regulations. Environmental program areas include air quality management, underground and above ground storage tank management, solid waste management, hazardous waste management, water/wastewater management, installation restoration (remediation) program management, natural resources management, cultural resource management and pest management.
In her spare time, Krystle performs community service work through her sorority's graduate chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and serves as a mentor to a teenager through the local Big Brother Big Sister chapter. She is also active with her church's Young Adult Ministry. During football season you can also find Krystle cheering on her favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.
