Biography - Raymond F. Ross


Hello, my name is Ray Ross and I’m quite excited to help guide you here at AMU. I’ve been a Professor here since April 2011 and have really enjoyed it.

For the most part I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado where I earned an AA in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak Community College. In January1984 I entered the Air Force where I earned an Associates of Applied Science in Security Administration and a Bachelors of Science from University of Maryland University College in Criminology. I retired from the Air Force in November 2004 after spending almost 21 years Active Duty where I had the opportunity of being stationed at Eglin AFB, FL., F.E. Warren AFB, WY., RAF Upper Heyford, UK., Great Falls, MT., Ramstein AB, Germany & Hill AFB, UT. I’ve deploy to many areas of the world to include the Middle East; Kuwait and Iraq to name a few. While active duty I started my Graduate degree with AMU and graduated with my Masters in Homeland Security; Emergency and Disaster Management.

As a member of the Air Force Security Forces’ I received extensive training and education in Security, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management and Antiterrorism where I was able to apply it as the Antiterrorism Officer for the Kiserslautern Military Community in Germany, the Department of State and the US Army Corp of Engineers in Iraq, the US Marine Corps in Barstow CA, and now the Defense Logistics Agency at Hill AFB UT.
