As long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed math. As a result, I chose to major in math in college. After receiving my undergraduate degree I worked as an actuary for many years and really enjoyed my career. At some point I realized that teaching mathematics would make me the happiest. So I left my job and went to graduate school full time to pursue my PhD in Mathematics. I finished in the summer of 2007 and couldn’t be more fulfilled with my decision to teach.
I live near Cleveland, Ohio with my husband and two boys. We’ve lived in northern Ohio since we were married in 1992. Having all four seasons is wonderful, though sometimes the winters can be brutal. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and lazy evenings on the back porch with our friends in the summer.
