My name is Bethany Mueller. Please feel free to call me Bethany.
Growing up near Cincinnati, Ohio math and I did not get along – it was my worst subject. Determined to succeed with encouragement from great teachers, I worked hard and my efforts eventually paid off – I found myself succeeding in math class! When it was time for me to go off to college and make a career choice, I decided to become a math teacher in order to help others succeed - especially those who struggled like myself. I received a B.S. of Education in Mathematics and a M.A.T. in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
After spending several years teaching in the classroom at community colleges in South Carolina and Florida, I now teach solely online. My husband, Rob, is in the United States Air Force and teaching online lends itself a bit better to our nomadic lifestyle. In addition to teaching for APU as an adjunct faculty member, I also teach online for Horry-Georgetown Technical College, DeVry University, Argosy University, and Florida State College of Jacksonville.
Rob and I, along with our golden retriever named Mollie, are currently stationed in New Mexico. When I’m not working, I can be found hanging out with Rob - we have similar interests and love doing things together including working out, scuba diving, reading, home projects, and watching movies. I also enjoy throwing pottery and doing Pilates.
