In addition to his duties as an Adjunct Professor for APUS, Dr. Jason Lewis currently works as a Joint Expeditionary Team (JET) member for the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). His responsibilities as a JET involve frequent travel to Iraq with the purpose of assisting deployed military units leverage the full range of Counter-IED enablers (such as the intelligence functions, biometrics, National agencies, and fusion cells).
Prior to his current work, Jason served 21 years in the United States Marine Corps (retiring in 2000), participated in the development of a 38 Nation Multinational Planning Augmentation Team to respond to humanitarian assistance/disaster relief for Pacific crises, was assigned to NATO Counter-IED development team, and functioned as an Intelligence Campaign Planner for the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Jason is an avid sailor and motorcyclist. He and his wife (Susan Marie) have five children; Gage, Nathan, Sarah, Ashley, and Raider. He holds an MBA in Global Management and a Doctorate of Management with an Organizational Leadership focus.
