Biography - John P Callaghan


Dr. John Callaghan served as an Air Force Intelligence Officer from 1995 to 2005, completed his doctorate in 2010, and currently serves as an analyst for the Department of Defense. He began his career supporting F-15E Strike Eagle operations in the European theater, taking part in Operations NORTHERN WATCH and DELIBERATE GUARD. From there, most of the rest of his AF career was devoted to analysis of adversary air defenses and intelligence support to acquisition of new DoD weapon systems. From 2002-2004, he served as Course Chief/Instructor for the United States Air Force Intelligence Officer Basic and Air Defense Command and Control Warfare Courses. Dr. Callaghan holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati, MS in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College (now the National Defense Intelligence College), and BS in Human Factors Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
