Diane Houston completed the undergraduate Honor’s English program at the University of Southern California, where she won the Edwin G. Moses award for fiction, and earned a B.A. in writing at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She then went on to complete an M.A. in English, with an emphasis in creative writing, at Western Washington University, where she also served as fiction editor for the Bellingham Review. She has written public relations material, and published short stories in various literary journals. Since 2001 Diane has been teaching college level English Composition and Literature, both online and in the traditional classroom setting at various Washington state community colleges and universities. When not teaching, Diane reads and spends time with her family, which, in addition to a husband, includes a ten-year old son, twelve-year old daughter, and two dogs, a Chihuahua/rat terrier mix and a white shepherd/yellow lab.
