Biography - Katrena M Taylor-Springs

I live in North Augusta, SC, only minutes from Augusta, GA...yes HOME of the MASTERS and two hours from Atlanta, GA.

I have a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of South Carolina. I obtained a M.S. degree in Counseling Studies from Capella University and immediately began working on my PhD in Psychology at Capella University (not completed yet).

I have worked in the Counseling/Mental Health field for the past 7 years where I provided case management/counseling studies to individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have also worked with children with emotional and behavioral disorders who were in the custody of the Department of Social Services.

I currently work as an Assessment Coordinator at a Psychiatric Hospital where I assess individuals, review the assessment with the psychiatrists and determine the best level of care for the individual at that moment. This work is on PRN basis and I have the flexibility to decide my on hours.

I am also an independent contractor for an Early Intervention Program where I provide service coordination for babies 0-3 years old who are developmentally delayed.

I have a 2 year old baby girl and 1 year old poodle/schnauzer mix. I love teaching, spending time with my baby, reading, and learning about ever-changing technology.
