Biography - Teresa Knox


Teresa A. Knox has over 20 years experience working at the executive management level of state government. In addition to serving as the Chief Legal Counsel at the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, she has also served as Assistant Deputy Attorney General, Chief of the Post-Conviction Relief Section at the Attorney General’s Office.

She received a B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina in 1987 and a J.D. Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1991. She is admitted to practice before the South Carolina Supreme Court, the United States District Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Probation and Parole Association, the American Probation and Parole Association, the South Carolina Correctional Association, the American Correctional Association and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association
