Biography - Scott A Graham


Scott Graham is a native of Barlow, Ohio and currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY (1990). He holds a Master of Science in Business Organizational Management from the University of LaVern (1994) and a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University (2000).

After graduation in 1990, he accepted a commission in the United States Army as an Aviator. Over the course of his career, he graduated from the Army Aviation Advance and Basic Courses, the Rotary Wing Flight School, the CH-47D Qualification Course, the U.S. Army Maintenance Managers Course, the U.S. Army Combined Arms Service and Staff School, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School and the U.S. Army Air Assault School.

His assignment history began as a platoon leader, operations officer, and executive officer in a medium lift helicopter company with the 6th Infantry Division (Light) in Fort Wainwright, AK. He then served as an Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM) platoon leader and company commander with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Fort Campbell, KY. He spent four years as an assistant professor teaching mathematics and engineering mechanics at the United States Air Force Academy, CO. He has also served as a military analyst with Tradoc Analysis Center in White Sands Missile Range, NM and U.S. Joint Forces Command in Suffolk VA. He retired from military service in 2010 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

After miitary retirement, he transitioned into education, serving as a high school math teacher with Suffolk Public Schools and an adjunct faculty member with Tidewater Community College and American Public University System.
