Mr. Mahoney earned his AB in German from the College of the Holy Cross. He holds an MA in International Relations
from the University of Southern California and an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College. Mr. Mahoney also completed the JFK School of Government's Program for Senior Officials in National Security at Harvard University.
Mr. Mahoney currently serves as a Senior Instructor with DynCorp International's Phoenix Training Center in Alexandria, VA. Prior to his retirement from the U.S. Army Reserve, he served as a Senior Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency. This included a six-month deployment as Chief of Counter-Intelligence and HUMINT for Multinational Force Northwest, Mosul, Iraq. In his military capacity, Lieutenant Colonel Mahoney was awarded the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (Meritorious Service), and Combat Action Badge. This active duty tour followed a 28 year civilian career in military intelligence with the Army and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
