Biography - Neal W Duckworth


Neal Duckworth is a retired Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, currently working in Washington, D.C. He retired from the Marine Corps as the Chief of USMC Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence (CI and HUMINT) Plans and Policy where he served as the principal advisor to the Director of Intelligence for CI and HUMINT issues and activities. His operational deployments include service with an imagery interpretation unit during Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM; Operations Officer for the NATO Allied Military Intelligence Battalion (CI and HUMINT) in Bosnia; Commander of a NATO HUMINT Collection Section in Eastern Bosnia; Task Force Intelligence Officer for Task Force Kabul conducting CI and HUMINT operations in Afghanistan; Combat Advisor to 3d Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Iraqi Army Division during combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq; and CI and HUMINT Staff Officer (G2X) for Multi-National Forces-West in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. After attending several community colleges on or near military bases, as well American Military University, he received a Bachelor of Arts in International Service from The American University and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from The Naval War College.
