Biography - Caryn P Rakov


Caryn holds a Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University and Masters in Education from University of Phoenix Online. The online program was a wonderful experience, leading her to pursue an online faculty position with APUS/AMU.

She was a DoDDS teacher in Okinawa, Japan, and stationed there for six years with her husband, a Marine Corps KC-130 pilot. She loved traveling to many countries, learning Japanese, and teaching English to Okinawans.

Caryn enjoys exercise, writing, reading, and her true passion is environmental conservation. She enjoys volunteering with environmental field projects to protect natural resources.

Caryn grew up near the beaches of Eastern Long Island and now resides in New Windsor, New York with her husband and 3-year old son.
